Katsuyuki Kawachi was born in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on April 27, 1955. He grew up loving football. After finishing his studies at Osaka University of Commerce, he started his professional football career.
Playing for Clubs
In 1978, Kawachi joined a local club called Toyo Industries. This club later changed its name to Mazda.
During his time with the club, they did very well in the 1978 Emperor's Cup, finishing in second place. However, the club's overall performance in the main league was sometimes challenging. He also played in Division 2, which is a lower league. Kawachi played for the club until he retired in 1987. In Division 1, he played 92 games and scored 11 goals.
Playing for Japan
