Kaveh Afagh (Persian: کاوه آفاق) was born on May 1, 1983. He is a talented artist from Iran. Kaveh is known for being a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He also acts and paints!
Kaveh Afagh's Musical Journey
Kaveh started playing the classical guitar when he was a child. By the time he was 15, he was great at the electric guitar. He loved rock music! He even started writing his own songs at 17.
In 2010, Kaveh won an award at the 2nd Underground World Music Festival. His song, Ghesseye Zirzamin, was a big hit. He also won the Best Performance Award in 2012. This was at the 5th Iranian Resistance Festival. In 2017, he made history by publishing the first rock songbook in Persian! It was called Tehran – 57.
Kaveh also started a band called The Ways. They have written many songs for plays and movies in Iran.
He is a very important rock singer in Iran. Kaveh was the first rock singer to get a special license to perform. This happened after he was not allowed to perform for ten years. He is still one of the most famous rock singers in his country.
