Kaye C. Vale Stacey (born in 1948) is an Australian expert in teaching mathematics. She held a very important position at the University of Melbourne for 20 years, from 1992 until she retired in 2012. She was the first person to hold the "Foundation Chair of Mathematics Education" in the Graduate School of Education. This means she was a top professor focused on how to best teach math.

Currently, she is the main editor for Educational Designer. This is a special magazine (or journal) for the International Society for Design and Development in Education. It shares new ideas about designing education.

Later, she went on to study at the famous University of Oxford in 1974. There, she earned a special advanced degree called a doctorate (D.Phil.). Her research for this degree was about a complex part of mathematics called number theory. It was titled The Enumeration of Perfect Quadratic Forms in Seven Variables. She also has a Diploma of Education from Monash University, which focuses specifically on teaching skills.
