Kazi Hayat (born February 15, 1947) is a famous Bangladeshi film director, producer, writer, and actor. He is a major figure in the country's movie industry. He has been making movies since the 1970s.
In 2023, he acted in the movie Priyotoma. This film became the highest-grossing Bangladeshi film ever made.
Kazi Hayat has won eight Bangladesh National Film Awards, which are some of the most important movie awards in Bangladesh.

His Journey in Filmmaking

Besides directing, Kazi Hayat is also a talented actor. In 2023, he played the father of Shakib Khan's character in the hit romantic movie Priyotoma. The film was a huge success and became the most popular Bangladeshi movie of all time.
