Keekozhoor (sometimes spelled Keekozhur) is a small village in the state of Kerala, India. It sits right by the Pamba River. This village is about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from Ranni and 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) from Kozhencherry. It's also about 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from the main town of the Pathanamthitta district. Keekozhoor is part of the Ranny and Cherukole local councils.

Life in Keekozhoor
Keekozhoor is a small village located on the banks of the Pamba River. It is known for its friendly community. People here work together and help each other out. This idea of "self-help through mutual help" is very important to them.
Cultural Heritage
The village has a rich and old culture. Keekozhoor is closely connected to the famous Aranmula cultural traditions. For example, the Keekozhur-Vayalathala Palliyodam is a special boat. It has been a strong participant in the Aranmula Vallamkali (a famous boat race) for a very long time.
Traditional Arts
Every year, during February or March, traditional temple arts are performed in Keekozhoor. These include Padayani and Mudiyittu. These performances happen at the ancient Bhadrakali temple during a festival called Pooram.

Temples in Keekozhoor
The village also has a Hindu Temple. The Cheruvallikavu Bhagavathi Temple is a very old place of worship. It is more than 800 years old! The main deity (god) worshipped here is Goddess Bhadrakali.
Missionary Work
Many years ago, two dedicated Christians from Keekozhoor, Pottakulathu Abraham Thomas (Pappy) and Karamvelimannil Daniel (Danichan), started Christian missionary work in Malayalapuzha. Later, Elangical Philip Upadeshi joined them. They found a place in the forest, which is now the Malayalapuzha Mission field of the Mar Thoma Church. Pastor P.T. Abraham, from Pottakulathu, also served as a pastor for Ceylon Pentecostal Churches in North India. He worked in cities like Pune, Madras, Kohima, Delhi, and Jullander, and he wrote many books.
