Keep On Wombling is the third music album made by the Wombles. It was released in December 1974. The songs were written and performed by Mike Batt, who also played keyboards and sang. He worked with other talented musicians to create the album.
This album was a bit different from the first two Wombles albums. One side of the album, called "Orinoco's Dream," tells a story. It follows Orinoco Womble through a series of his dreams. The music on the album includes different styles like pop, rock, and even classical music. For example, "Hall Of The Mountain Womble" is a Wombles version of a famous classical piece by Edvard Grieg.
Keep On Wombling was quite popular! It stayed on the UK album charts for six weeks and reached number 17, which is a great achievement.
What's on the Album?
All the songs on Keep On Wombling were written by Mike Batt, unless it says otherwise. The album is split into two parts, like two sides of an old record.
