What the Movie is About
This movie tells the story of the Wombles. They are small, furry creatures who live in Wimbledon Common in London during the 1970s. Their big mission is to clean up all the litter and rubbish that humans leave behind.
The film starts with Great Uncle Bulgaria Womble. He explains that Wombles have been cleaning up after people for a very long time, all around the world! Most people don't even know Wombles exist. You can only see them if you truly believe in them.
One day, a young girl named Kim spots the Wombles and understands their important work. She invites them to her birthday party. This makes her dad, Roland Frogmorton, finally believe in them too when he meets Orinoco, Tobermory, and the other Wombles face-to-face!
They decide to hold a big meeting to show everyone in Wimbledon that Wombles are real. They want people to help them keep the area clean. But on the day of the meeting, a big storm hits Wimbledon Common. Even with the storm, Kim, the Wombles, and all the children work together to clean up the Common. It shows how teamwork can make a big difference!
