Keiji Kaimoto (born November 26, 1972) is a former professional Japanese football player. He played as a defender. Keiji Kaimoto also played one match for the Japan national team. His younger brother, Kojiro Kaimoto, was also a football player.

Playing Career Highlights
Starting with Vissel Kobe
Keiji Kaimoto was born in Suita, Japan, on November 26, 1972. After finishing his studies at Tokai University, he started his professional football career in 1995. He joined Vissel Kobe, a club that was then in the Japan Football League.
In 1996, Vissel Kobe finished second in their league. This great result meant they were promoted to the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. Keiji Kaimoto played many games for the team in 1997, showing his skills as a defender.
Moving to Nagoya Grampus Eight
In 2001, Keiji Kaimoto moved to another team called Nagoya Grampus Eight. His younger brother, Kojiro Kaimoto, also joined Nagoya Grampus in 2003. However, Keiji's time on the field slowly became less frequent.
Joining Albirex Niigata
In 2005, Keiji and his brother Kojiro both moved to Albirex Niigata. Keiji played quite often for this new club. But his brother Kojiro left Albirex Niigata in May 2006. Keiji's playing time became very limited in 2007. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2008 season.
National Team Appearance
Keiji Kaimoto had the honor of being chosen to play for the Japan national team once. This happened during the 2000 AFC Asian Cup.
He played in a group stage match against Qatar on October 20, 2000. The game took place in Beirut. Keiji was substituted out of the game in the 39th minute. Even though he didn't play the whole match, the Japan national team went on to win the entire tournament that year!
