Keith E. Haynes was born on February 15, 1963. He is a former American politician and a lawyer. Mr. Haynes was first chosen to be a member of the Maryland House of Delegates in 2002. He was re-elected in 2006. He represented the 44th Legislative District, which is in Baltimore. As a lawyer, he worked for the Law Offices of Peter G. Angelos, P.C. He practiced law in Maryland and Washington, D.C. In June 2021, Mr. Haynes announced that he was retiring from the Maryland General Assembly.

Keith E. Haynes was born in Shelby, North Carolina. He went to North Carolina State University. There, he earned a degree in political science. This means he studied how governments work. He also earned a master's degree from North Carolina Central University.
Later, he went to the University of Baltimore School of Law. He earned his law degree there. He is allowed to practice law in Maryland and Washington, D.C. He could also work as a lawyer in higher courts, like the United States Supreme Court.
His Time in the Legislature
Mr. Haynes was a member of the House of Delegates from January 8, 2003, until December 2021. The House of Delegates is part of Maryland's state government. In 2006, he was chosen to be a Deputy Majority Whip. This role helps make sure laws are passed.
