Kellie Armstrong (born September 8, 1970) is a politician from Northern Ireland. She is a member of the Alliance Party. Since 2016, she has been a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Strangford area.

Kellie Armstrong's Political Journey
Kellie Armstrong has been an active member of the Alliance Party since 2009. She has held many different roles within the party. These include being a secretary and chair for her local branch. She also helped organize elections and activities for the party.
Serving on the Council
Before becoming an MLA, Kellie Armstrong was a local councillor. She first joined the Ards Borough Council. Later, in 2014, she was elected to the Ards and North Down Borough Council. There, she represented the Ards Peninsula area.
Elections and the Assembly
Kellie Armstrong also ran for a seat in the UK Parliament in 2015 and 2019. Even though she didn't win, she received the highest number of votes ever for an Alliance Party candidate in the Strangford area.
In 2016, she was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly. She was elected again in 2017.
Working in the Assembly
As an MLA, Kellie Armstrong works on important committees. She is the Deputy Chair of the Assembly's Committee for Communities. This committee checks how government departments handle things like housing, benefits, and sports. She is also a member of the Assembly and Executive Review Committee.
Kellie Armstrong strongly supports Integrated education. This type of education brings together children from different backgrounds. She is working on a new law to help protect and promote integrated education across Northern Ireland. She also proposed a plan to change how the Northern Ireland Assembly works, to make it more fair for everyone.
Before Politics: Community Work
For nearly ten years, Kellie Armstrong worked as the Northern Ireland Director for the Community Transport Association (CTA). In this job, she helped organizations and the government understand transport laws. She also gave advice to over 150 community groups. This helped them provide better transport services for people who needed them.

Kellie has some hearing loss. She is a strong supporter and campaigner for the rights of people with disabilities.
