Kemi Adetiba (born January 8, 1980) is a talented Nigerian filmmaker. She directs movies, TV shows, and music videos. Her work has been shown on popular channels like Channel O, MTV Base, Sound City TV, BET, and Netflix.

Early Life and Education
Kemi's Childhood
Kemi Adetiba was born in Lagos, Nigeria. Her parents are Dele and Mayen Adetiba. When she was a child, Kemi even appeared in a TV ad for OMO detergent!
Her Studies
Kemi studied law at the University of Lagos and earned her degree there.
Kemi's Career Journey
From Radio to TV
Kemi Adetiba started her career as a radio presenter at Rhythm 93.7 FM. She became famous for hosting two popular shows called Soul'd Out and Sunday at the Seaside.
Later, she moved from radio to television. She produced and presented many shows on Mnet, including Studio 53 and Temptation Nigeria. She also hosted the Maltina Dance All show for three years in a row.
Becoming a Director
After being successful in front of the camera, Kemi decided to learn about working behind it. She went to the New York Film Academy to study filmmaking.
Since then, her work as a director has become well-known across Africa and beyond. Her short film Across a Bloodied Ocean was shown at important film festivals in 2009.
Famous Movies and Shows
On September 8, 2016, Kemi Adetiba's first major movie, The Wedding Party, was shown. This Nigerian romantic comedy premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
In 2017, she hosted a show called King Women. On this show, she interviewed inspiring women, including her own mother, Mayen Adetiba. Other famous women like Chigul and Taiwo Ajai-Lycett were also interviewed.
Awards and Recognition
Kemi Adetiba has won many awards for her amazing work. She won Best Female Video for TY Bello's song "Ekundayo" and Omawumi's "Today na Today".
She was nominated for Best Music Video Director of the Year at The Headies in 2014. In 2015, she won the City People Entertainment Award for Best Music Video Director. She also received a HNWOTY Award in 2017 for Woman of the Year in Film and Television.
Her recent music video projects include "Onye" by Waje (featuring Tiwa Savage), "Anifowose" and "Sitting on the Throne" by Olamide, and "Say" by Bez.
