Kenchi Tachibana, whose real name is Kenichiro Teratsuji, was born on September 28, 1979, in Yokohama, Japan. He is a talented Japanese dancer and actor. Many people know him by his stage name, KENCHI. Kenchi is a member of two popular J-Pop groups: Exile and Exile The Second. He was also part of the group Nidaime J Soul Brothers before they joined Exile in 2009.
Kenchi is managed by a company called LDH. He also helps represent LDH Asia, which means he works to spread Japanese entertainment in other parts of Asia.

Kenchi's Early Life and Career
Kenchi was born in Yokohama, Japan, and grew up in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. He started dancing when he was young. In his early 20s, he joined dance teams like Poly-3, Fulcrum, and Red Blockerz. At the same time, he also worked for LDH apparel, a clothing brand.
Joining J Soul Brothers
In 2007, Kenchi was chosen to be a member of a group called Nidaime J Soul Brothers. This group released one album. In 2009, they announced they would take a break. Soon after, all the members, including Kenchi, joined the famous group Exile.
Becoming Part of Exile The Second
In July 2012, Kenchi joined a special sub-unit of Exile called Exile The Second. He joined with his friends and former Nidaime J Soul Brothers members: Nesmith, Shokichi, Keiji, and Tetsuya. On December 4, 2015, Kenchi was announced as the leader of Exile The Second.
Kenchi's Other Ventures
In 2017, Kenchi started working in the world of books. He became an ambassador for the "2nd Short Shorts Award." He also started his own blog called "Tachibana Bookstore." On his blog, he regularly shares information about the books he has read.
Kenchi also became interested in the Japanese drink called Sake. In February 2019, he shared his wish to get involved in the Sake business. Later that year, on September 8, he opened his first restaurant, an Izakaya, in Tokyo. It's called "LDH Kitchen IZAKAYA AOBADAI." This Izakaya works with local Sake breweries. It also hosts events about Sake and Japanese culture every day.
In 2023, Kenchi performed in his first stage musical. He played the role of Miguel da Corella in "CESARE ~ Creator of Destruction ~."
Kenchi's Personal Life
Kenchi has been friends with other Exile members, Akira, Tetsuya, and Keiji, for a long time. They met in the early 2000s, even before they became artists with LDH.
On October 1, 2019, Kenchi announced that he had gotten married. His wife is not a famous person and was in her 30s at the time. They met through mutual friends and had been dating for three years. Kenchi was the eighth member of Exile to get married.
