Kendal Williams (born September 23, 1995) is an American professional track and field athlete. He is known for his amazing speed in sprint races. These races include the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. Kendal has won many gold medals for the United States. He has competed in big events like the World Junior Championships and the Pan American Games.

Early Life and High School Success

Kendal Williams was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He started showing his talent for running at a young age. He went to Stanton College Preparatory School. There, he became a top high school athlete. He won several state championships. He was also named a high school All-American. This means he was one of the best athletes in the country for his age.

College Track and Field Career

After high school, Kendal received a scholarship to Florida State University. He joined the Seminoles track team in 2015. As a freshman, he ran the 100 meters in 9.98 seconds. This was a very fast time, even though it was helped by the wind.

After his first year, Kendal decided to transfer. He moved to the University of Georgia. He followed his coach, Ken Harnden, who also moved there. At Georgia, Kendal continued to improve his running. In his senior year, he ran the 100 meters in 9.99 seconds. This time was a new personal best for him. It helped him win the Southeastern Conference Championships.

Becoming a Professional Athlete

Kendal Williams became a professional athlete in 2018. This means he now competes in track and field as his job. He has continued to represent the United States in major international competitions.
