Kenichi Hashimoto (橋本 研一, Hashimoto Kenichi, born April 16, 1975) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward for several teams in Japan during the 1990s.

Kenichi Hashimoto: A Football Journey

Kenichi Hashimoto was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on April 16, 1975. He grew up loving football and played the sport throughout his school years. After finishing high school, he was ready to start his professional career.

Starting with Kashima Antlers

In 1994, Kenichi Hashimoto joined Kashima Antlers, a well-known football club in Japan. He quickly became an important player for the team. During his first season, he played in many matches as a forward. A forward's job is to score goals for their team.

He continued to play for Kashima Antlers in 1995. However, in 1996, he did not get to play in any matches. This can happen in professional sports when teams change their strategies.

Moving to New Teams

In 1997, Kenichi Hashimoto moved to another team called Yokohama Marinos. Even though he was part of the team, he did not play in many games there.

After that, in 1998, he played for Tokyo Fulie. Then, in 1999, he joined a brand new club called Yokohama FC. This club was special because it was started by fans of another team, Yokohama Flügels, who wanted to keep their football spirit alive.

Retirement from Football

Kenichi Hashimoto played for Yokohama FC in 1999. At the end of that season, he decided to retire from professional football. He had a career that saw him play for some of Japan's top clubs.
