Kennedy Park is a large, fun park located in Hayward, California. It's a very popular place for families and friends to visit. The park is managed by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, which is often called HARD. It's actually the busiest park in their whole district!
Right next to Kennedy Park, you'll find McConaghy Park. This area is home to a special old building called McConaghy House. This house was built way back in 1886. It's now a house museum, which means you can visit it to see what homes looked like a long time ago. The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District and the Hayward Area Historical Society work together to take care of it. McConaghy House has a unique design style known as Stick/Eastlake architecture. It is located near San Lorenzo. Back in 2013, there were ideas to make the park even better. The plan was to update the park and combine it with the house to create a cool Victorian-style place for everyone to enjoy.
