Kenneth J. Dunkley (born in 1939) is an American physicist, inventor, and businessman. He is most famous for his work with holography and for inventing special Three Dimensional Viewing Glasses (3-DVG). These glasses help us see images in 3D! Today, he is the president of Holospace Laboratories Inc. in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
About Kenneth Dunkley
Kenneth Dunkley was born on August 21, 1939, in New York. He studied physics and earned a Master's degree. He spent time researching how human vision works.
His Big Discovery
During his research, Dunkley made an amazing discovery. He found that if you block two specific points in a person's side vision (called peripheral vision), a flat, 2-dimensional picture would suddenly look 3-dimensional! This breakthrough was very important. It led to big improvements in 3D viewing glasses and the technology we use to watch 3D movies today.
What He Does Now
Kenneth Dunkley is known as a pioneer in how we see things and a leader in the field of holography. Holography is a way to create 3D images using light. He is the president of Holospace Laboratories Inc. He also teaches fun workshops about visual effects at the Museum of Scientific Discovery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Besides this, Dunkley has experience training people in Microsoft programs and robotics.
