Kenta Kano (Japanese: 狩野 健太, born May 2, 1986) is a Japanese former footballer. He played as an attacking midfielder, which means he helped both attack and defend in the middle of the field. Kenta was known for his skills and contributions to several top Japanese football clubs during his career.

Kenta's First Steps in Pro Football

Kenta Kano made his first appearance in Japan's professional football league, the J-League, on April 24, 2005. He was playing for Yokohama F. Marinos against Omiya Ardija at Nissan Stadium.

He scored his first professional goal almost a year later, on April 15, 2006. This goal also happened at Nissan Stadium, during a match where Yokohama F. Marinos played against Gamba Osaka.

Playing for Top Teams

Kenta Kano started his professional career with Yokohama F. Marinos in 2005. He played there for eight seasons, until 2012. During his time with Yokohama, he played in over 100 league games and scored 9 goals.

After leaving Yokohama F. Marinos, Kenta joined Kashiwa Reysol in 2013. He played for Kashiwa Reysol for three seasons, until 2015. He continued to be an important player, helping his team in various competitions.

In 2016, Kenta moved to Kawasaki Frontale. He played there for two seasons. His time at Kawasaki Frontale included playing in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football division.

His last professional club was Tokushima Vortis, where he played in 2018 and 2019. This team competed in the J2 League, the second division of Japanese football.
