Kentaro Sawada (沢田 謙太郎, Sawada Kentaro, born May 15, 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He was born on May 15, 1970, in Kamakura, Japan. Sawada played as a Midfielder and Defender during his career. He also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team.

Kentaro Sawada's Club Journey
Kentaro Sawada started his football journey after finishing his studies at Chuo University. In 1993, he joined a team called Kashiwa Reysol. At that time, they were part of the Japan Football League.
Playing for Kashiwa Reysol
While playing for Kashiwa Reysol, Sawada often played as a right-midfielder or a right side-back. His team did very well in 1994, finishing in second place. This success meant they were promoted to the top league, which is called the J1 League. He continued to play for Kashiwa Reysol until the end of the 1998 season.
Moving to Sanfrecce Hiroshima
In 1999, Kentaro Sawada moved to another team, Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He played for this club for several years. He continued his professional football career with Sanfrecce Hiroshima until he decided to retire from playing at the end of the 2003 season.
