Kesava Reddy (born March 10, 1946 – died February 13, 2015) was a famous writer from Andhra Pradesh, India. He wrote many novels in the Telugu language. His stories often talked about important social problems in India. He wrote about things like poverty, unfair ideas, and old superstitions. He wanted people to be more responsible in their communities.
Kesava Reddy's writing style mixed big ideas with stories that everyone could enjoy. Some of his most well-known novels include Athadu Adavini Jayinchadu, Munemma, and Moogavani Pillanagrovi. Some of his books were even translated into English and other languages.
His Life Story
Kesava Reddy was born in a village called Thalapula Palli in the Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. His father, Ranga Reddy P, was a farmer.
He went to S.V University in Tirupathi for his early studies. Later, he earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Pondicherry University. He also got a special diploma in skin diseases (dermatology) from CMC Medical College in Vellore.
Reddy worked as a medical officer at Victoria Hospital in Dichpally, Nizamabad. After many years, he retired from his job and settled down in Nizamabad town.
