Kevin Belcher was an American football player. He was born on February 23, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan. Kevin played as a center and offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL). He is best known for playing with the New York Giants.
Kevin went to Redford High School in Detroit. After high school, he played college football for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He was a talented player who later made it to the professional league.
Kevin Belcher's NFL Career
The New York Giants picked Kevin Belcher in the sixth round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He was the 153rd player chosen overall. This was a big step for him into professional football.
Kevin played for the Giants for two seasons. From 1983 to 1984, he played in 32 games. He was a starter in 16 of those games. His career as a professional football player ended early. This happened after he was in a serious car accident on January 23, 1985. The accident caused severe injuries that made it impossible for him to play football again.
