Kevin John Brockmeier (born December 6, 1972) is an American writer. He writes both fantasy stories and other types of fiction that explore real-life feelings and ideas. His books often make you think deeply. One of his most well-known works is The Brief History of the Dead, which came out in 2006.

About Kevin Brockmeier

Kevin Brockmeier was born in Hialeah, Florida. He grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. He went to Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School and then to Southwest Missouri State University. He also studied writing at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He even taught there for a while! Today, he still lives in Little Rock.
