Kevin Liles (born February 27, 1968) is an American record executive, which is a person who helps lead a music company. He is known for co-founding and being the CEO of 300 Entertainment, a popular record label.
In 2020, Billboard Magazine named him the R&B/Hip-Hop Executive of the Year. He received this award for his community work and for helping the career of the successful rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Early Life and Education
Kevin Liles grew up near Baltimore, Maryland. He went to Woodlawn High School. He was raised by his mother, Alberta, and his stepfather, Jerome, along with his three siblings.
After high school, Liles attended Morgan State University. He was studying to be an engineer and even had a scholarship from NASA. However, he decided to leave college to follow his passion for music.
Music Career
Starting in a Music Group
Liles began his career in music as part of a DJ group from Baltimore called Numarx. In 1986, the group co-wrote the song "Girl You Know It's True." While Numarx recorded it first, the song later became a huge hit for the group Milli Vanilli.
Leading Major Record Labels
From 1999 to 2004, Liles was the president of Def Jam Recordings, one of the most famous hip-hop record labels. He was also an executive vice president at The Island Def Jam Music Group.
Later, he worked as an executive vice president for Warner Music Group. He left this job in 2009 to start his own businesses.
Founding 300 Entertainment
In 2012, Liles co-founded the record label 300 Entertainment with his business partners Lyor Cohen, Roger Gold, and Todd Moscowitz. As CEO, he helped the company become very successful. On September 17, 2024, Liles announced that he was stepping down from his role as CEO.
Charity Work
Liles is also known for helping others. He has been a co-chair for the New Yorkers For Children Gala, an event that raises money for kids in need. He also started the Kevin Liles for a Better Baltimore Foundation to support his hometown community.
Personal Life
Liles is married to Erika Liles, and they have two daughters together. He has four children in total.
