Kevin Menicoche's Political Journey
Starting in Politics
Kevin Menicoche first ran for a seat in the government during the 2003 Northwest Territories general election. He was running to represent the Nahendeh area. In this election, he competed against seven other people. He won the election with 34% of the votes. This meant he became the representative for the Nahendeh electoral district. Becoming a Minister
In October 2006, Kevin Menicoche was chosen to join the Executive Council. The Executive Council is a group of important people who help lead the government. He became the Minister of Transportation.
