Early Days in Queensland Rugby
Kevin Yow Yeh started his rugby league career in Gladstone, Queensland. He played for a team called the Redcliffe Dolphins. In 1964, he was named the best player for the Redcliffe club. His most exciting moment with Balmain was in his first season. He played in the 1966 NSWRFL season grand final. This big game was against the St. George Dragons. Even though Balmain lost that game, it was a huge achievement to play in the final. Kevin played for the Balmain Tigers for two seasons. He found it hard to get used to city life. It was made by Canterbury's fullback, Les Johns, at the Sydney Sports Ground.
