Khukuri Beer is a type of lager beer. It was started in 2003. The company was first a partnership between J.W. Lees Brewery and Mr. Mahanta B. Shrestha. Mr. Shrestha is a Nepalese restaurant owner in London.
Their goal was to create a Nepalese beer for people in the United Kingdom. Since 2007, Mr. Shrestha has fully owned the company. The idea came from a need for Asian beer. This beer was made to go well with South Asian and Oriental foods.
