Khyri Jaquan Thomas (born May 8, 1996) is an American professional basketball player. He last played for Petkim Spor in Turkey. Khyri played college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays. He was picked 38th in the 2018 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Later, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Khyri Thomas grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He went to Omaha Benson High School Magnet there. After high school, he attended Fork Union Military Academy. He then decided to play college basketball for Creighton University.
College Basketball Career
Khyri played three years of college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays.
- As a freshman (first year), he scored about 6.2 points per game.
- In his second year, he improved a lot, scoring 12.3 points per game. He was also named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year. This award goes to the best defensive player in the Big East Conference.
- As a junior (third year), he averaged 15.1 points per game. He won the Big East Defensive Player of the Year award again!
After his junior year, Khyri decided to enter the 2018 NBA draft. This meant he would not play his final year at Creighton.
Professional Basketball Journey
Playing for the Detroit Pistons (2018–2020)
On June 21, 2018, Khyri Thomas was chosen 38th overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he was quickly traded to the Detroit Pistons. He made his first NBA appearance on November 9, 2018. He played four minutes and scored a three-pointer against the Atlanta Hawks.
In November 2020, the Pistons traded Khyri to the Atlanta Hawks. He was then released by the Hawks shortly after.
Time with the Austin Spurs (2021)
In December 2020, Khyri joined the Austin Spurs. This team is part of the G League, which is like a development league for the NBA. He played seven games for them. He averaged 13.9 points and shot very well from the three-point line.
Joining the Houston Rockets (2021)
On May 7, 2021, Khyri signed a short contract with the Houston Rockets. He played really well in his first two games. He averaged 21.5 points! On May 8, 2021, he scored a career-high 27 points. He also had five rebounds, five steals, and three assists in a game against the Utah Jazz.
Because of his great play, the Rockets signed him to a longer contract on May 14. However, he was later released by the team in October.
Playing Overseas (2021–2024)
After playing in the NBA, Khyri moved to play basketball in other countries.
- In November 2021, he signed with Bilbao Basket in Spain.
- In January 2022, he joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
- In July 2022, he signed with Tofaş in Turkey. He decided to take a break from basketball for personal reasons after playing only two games with Tofaş.
- In July 2023, he signed with Petkim Spor, another team in Turkey. He played there until 2024.
