Kiell Smith-Bynoe (born on March 5, 1989) is an English actor, comedian, and TV presenter. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows like Ghosts, Stath Lets Flats, and Man Like Mobeen. He has also appeared on fun TV game shows such as Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You?.

Kiell's Journey to Acting
Kiell Smith-Bynoe was born in London, England, on March 5, 1989. He went to an all-boys school called St Bonaventure's. He learned how to act and improvise at the Theatre Royal Stratford East and later at the East 15 Acting School. He still performs with comedy groups today, like BattleActs, and has even performed at the famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Early Roles and Music
One of Kiell's first acting jobs was in 2012. He played a character named Klayze in a YouTube series called Diary of a Bad Man. His first professional role was in the crime drama Whitechapel in the same year. Before acting, he was also known for a fun grime song called "Junior Spesh" under the name MC Klayze Flaymz.
Becoming a TV Star
From 2019 to 2023, Kiell played Mike Cooper in the very popular BBC sitcom Ghosts. In this show, he and his wife move into a country house that is full of ghosts!
In 2021, he was a contestant on the Christmas special of The Great British Sewing Bee. He also became famous in April 2022 for using the fun nickname "Platty Joobs" for the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II on Twitter.
Kiell was a contestant on Series 15 of Taskmaster in 2023, where he finished as the runner-up. He even came back for a special "Champion of Champions" episode in 2024.
In October 2023, it was announced that Kiell would host the Christmas special of The Great British Sewing Bee. He also became the main host for the show's tenth series in 2024.
Kiell's Life Outside of Acting
Kiell grew up in East Ham, a part of London. His mother, Jen, worked for the NHS in the London Ambulance Service. His father, Fitzburn, was a semi-professional cricketer who sadly passed away in 2018. Kiell lives in London with his girlfriend. He also has 12 half-siblings from his father's side.
