Kiell's Acting Journey
Kiell was born in London on 5 March 1989. He went to an all-boys school called St Bonaventure's. From a young age, he loved acting and trained in a special style of acting called improvisation. This is where actors create stories and characters without a script. He was part of junior acting groups and later trained as an adult at the East 15 Acting School. He still performs with improv comedy groups, even at big events like the Edinburgh Festival.
Early Roles and Music
One of Kiell's first acting jobs was in 2012 in a YouTube series called Diary of a Bad Man. His first professional role was in a crime TV show called Whitechapel. Fun fact: he was once known for a funny grime song called "Junior Spesh" under the name MC Klayze Flaymz!
Becoming a TV Star
From 2019 to 2023, Kiell played Mike Cooper in the super popular BBC sitcom Ghosts. In this show, he and his wife move into a big old house that is full of ghosts!
In 2021, he appeared on the Christmas special of The Great British Sewing Bee, where celebrities compete to sew clothes.
In 2022, Kiell became famous for using the funny nickname "Platty Joobs" for the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II on Twitter. He also released his own short comedy show called Red Flag on Channel 4.
Taskmaster and Hosting
Kiell was a contestant on Series 15 of the popular comedy game show Taskmaster in 2023, where he came in second place. He even returned for a special "Champion of Champions" episode in 2024!
In October 2023, it was announced that Kiell would host the Christmas special of The Great British Sewing Bee, and he's also hosting the show's tenth series in 2024. He's also been a guest on the BBC Radio 4 comedy show Just a Minute.
Kiell's Life Outside Acting
