Sungjoo Group is a company that Sung-Joo Kim started in 1990. This company became famous in Korea for fashion. It helped bring many well-known brands to Korea, like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
In 2005, Sungjoo Group bought MCM. MCM is a luxury fashion brand from Germany that started in 1976.
Sung-Joo Kim also served as the President of the Korean Red Cross for three years, starting in 2014. In June 2015, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom gave her a special award.
