Waverly Walter Alford III (born August 18, 1977), known as King Gordy, is an American rapper and singer. He is from Detroit, Michigan. He is part of the underground hip hop group Fat Killahz. He is also in the group How to Gag a Maggot and the rap duos Last American Rock Stars and Even Heathens. King Gordy has his own record label called King of Van Dyke Entertainment.

Early Life
Waverly Alford grew up in Detroit, Michigan. His father worked for Chrysler. His mother worked for the school board. His parents separated when he was 13 years old.
Music Career
King Gordy started rapping in Detroit in 2000. He was known for his "battle rap" skills. In 2001, he joined the group Fat Killahz. He was the only singer in the group. He then signed with Web Entertainment. This is the same label that released Eminem's first album.
Early Albums and Film Role
King Gordy appeared in the film 8 Mile in 2002. He played a rapper named "Big O." In 2003, he released his first solo album, The Entity. Eminem helped produce some of the songs on this album. In 2005, Fat Killahz released their first album, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?. King Gordy also appeared on albums by other rappers like Bizarre and Proof.
New Projects and Style
From 2006 to 2009, King Gordy released five more solo albums. He often worked with his friends from Fat Killahz and Bizarre. In 2008, he and Bizarre formed a hip hop duo. His album Xerxes The God-King came out in 2010. It included a music video for his song "Sing For The Dead."
In 2011, King Gordy released a Detroit blues album called King Gordy Sings the Blues. He also released a new Fat Killahz album and his first short album, Jesus Christ's Mistress. The next year, he started calling himself Dark Lord Vader. He released another short album, Hail Dark Lord Vader. This album showed his return to a darker rap style.
Recent Work
In 2016, King Gordy released Herojuana. This was a short album with his bandmate Bang Belushi. In 2017, he and Bizarre signed with Twiztid's label. Their duo, L.A.R.S., released their first album in 2018. Since 2017, King Gordy has also worked with rapper Jimmy Donn on the "How to Gag a Maggot" project. They have released several albums and short albums together. King Gordy also released new songs in late 2018 under his own label.
Rap Battles and Challenges
King Gordy has been involved in some rap challenges. When rapper Haystak made a song against Eminem, King Gordy and Bizarre responded with their own songs. Another rapper, Brabo Gator, then made songs against King Gordy and his friends.
In 2013, King Gordy challenged other rappers like Lupe Fiasco on Twitter. He and Lupe Fiasco had a long discussion online. They both showed respect for each other's skills. In 2014, King Gordy released a song called "Return Of The King." This song was a challenge to other rappers.
