Kinnikinnick is a small, unincorporated community located in Ross County, Ohio, in the United States. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. It's found where two roads, Ohio State Route 159 and Ohio State Route 180, meet. This quiet spot is about 16.6 miles (or 26.7 kilometers) north-northeast of a larger city called Chillicothe.

A Glimpse into Kinnikinnick's Past

Kinnikinnick has a bit of history, even though it's a small place. One important part of its past was having its own post office. This post office opened its doors in 1878. A post office is where people send and receive mail. It served the community for many years before closing in 1910. The community itself got its unique name from a nearby stream called Kinnikinnick Creek.
