Kipp is a small community in Saline County, Kansas, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially set up as one.
In 2020, about 60 people lived in Kipp. You can find Kipp southeast of Salina. It is located along Schilling Road, near an old railroad line. Kipp is also part of the larger Salina area.

History of Kipp
Kipp had its own post office for many years. It first opened in 1890. The post office helped people send and receive mail. However, it closed down in 1957.

Kipp is located at an elevation of 1,207 feet (368 meters) above sea level. Its exact location is 38°47′2″N 97°27′16″W / 38.78389°N 97.45444°W. A stream called the West Branch of Gypsum Creek flows right through the community.

Kipp used to have its own schools. These schools closed when the local school districts combined. The high school in Kipp was known for its sports teams, called the Kipp Orioles. The Kipp Orioles even won the Kansas State High School class B baseball championship in 1949!
