Klaus Hagerup (born March 5, 1946 – died December 20, 2018) was a famous Norwegian author, translator, screenwriter, actor, and director. He was known for his many books, especially those for young people. He also acted in movies, like playing Tom in the film The Chieftain (1984).

Klaus Hagerup's Creative Journey

Klaus Hagerup was the younger of two brothers. He started his writing career in 1969 with a collection of poems called "Slik tenker jeg på dere" (which means "This is how I think about you").

He worked at different theaters, including Den Nationale Scene and Nationaltheatret. He was an actor, director, and writer for plays. Klaus Hagerup also acted in several movies. However, he was best known for writing plays for the stage and radio.
