Instead, it is part of a larger area called the Town of Springdale in Dane County.
A Look Back in Time
How Klevenville Got Its Name
Klevenville has a simple but interesting history. The community was named after an early settler, a person who came to live there when the area was still very new. His name was Iver Kleven. It was common for new places to be named after important people who helped start them.
The Old Post Office
A long time ago, in 1891, a special building called a post office was opened in Klevenville. A post office is where people send and receive letters and packages. It was a very important place for the community back then. This post office served the people of Klevenville for many years. However, it eventually closed down in 1952.
