Knight Island State Park is a special place located near North Hero, Vermont. It's a state park that covers most of Knight Island, which is about 125 acres big. A small part (10 acres) at the southern tip of the island is private land.
This park is found on Lake Champlain and is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation. It's part of the larger Vermont State Park system. Getting to Knight Island State Park is an adventure because you can only reach it by boat! There isn't a dock, so visitors need to plan their own way to get there.
