Knights is a small place in Florida, United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own city government. Knights is located in the northeastern part of Hillsborough County. It is very close to the town of Plant City.
You can find Knights along Florida State Road 39. This road meets Hillsborough County Road 582 there. Another road, Florida State Road 39A, also ends in Knights.
History of Knights
Knights has a long history, starting way back in 1844. That's when the Knight and Summerlin families arrived. They moved from an area near what is now Valdosta, Georgia. They made their homes along a creek called Itchepackesassa Creek. This spot was just north of where Plant City is today.
Education in Knights
The young people living in Knights attend schools run by Hillsborough County Schools. This school district serves the entire county.
