Koki Otani (大谷 幸輝, Ōtani Kōki, born 8 April 1989 in Kumamoto) is a Japanese professional footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper for the J3 League club Giravanz Kitakyushu.

Early Life and Start in Football

Koki Otani was born on April 8, 1989, in Kumamoto, Japan. From a young age, he showed talent in football. He joined the youth team of Urawa Red Diamonds, which is a well-known football club in Japan. This is where he trained and developed his skills as a goalkeeper.

Koki Otani's Football Career

Koki Otani started his professional football journey with Urawa Red Diamonds. As a goalkeeper, his main job is to stop the opposing team from scoring goals!

Playing for Giravanz Kitakyushu

In 2014, Koki went on loan to Giravanz Kitakyushu. A loan means he played for them for a set period before returning to his main club. He made his first appearance for Giravanz Kitakyushu on March 2, 2014, in a game against Kyoto Sanga. During that season, he played in 42 league matches, which is a lot of games for a goalkeeper in one year!

Time with Albirex Niigata
