Konyang University is a university in South Korea. It was started in 1991. The university has two main locations, called campuses. One is in Nonsan and the other is in Daejeon.
The Nonsan campus is the biggest. It has over 10,000 students who are studying for their first degree. They can choose from more than 40 different subjects, many of which are practical skills. About 230 students come from other countries. The Daejeon campus focuses on health-related studies. These include Western medicine, medical technology, and nursing. The university also has about 700 students studying for advanced degrees.
In 2011, Konyang University became one of the few private universities in South Korea to offer military science as a main subject. The president of the university is Dr. Kim Hi-soo. He received a special award in 2006 for his great work in education.
In 2013, the South Korean government changed how it supported universities. They wanted to help schools that were doing well. Konyang University applied for money for seven different projects. All seven projects received funding. This showed that Konyang University was doing a great job.

Boosting Teaching Excellence: The ACE Program
In 2010, Konyang University was chosen for a special program called ACE. ACE stands for "Advancement of College Education." This program helps universities improve their teaching. Konyang University created something called an "e-portfolio" system. This system helps students manage their schoolwork and prepare for jobs.
Students can use the e-portfolio to store their assignments and record their volunteer work. They can also take exams using this system. Teachers use it too! They can share lessons and materials with students. They can also enter grades and other class details. This system helps students and teachers stay organized.
Connecting with Industries: The LINC Program
In 2012, Konyang University was chosen for another important program called LINC. LINC means "Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation." This program helps universities work closely with businesses and industries. It helps them create new ideas and technologies.
Konyang University received special support for five years through this program. One big result of the LINC program at Konyang is the CICS.
Preparing for Future Jobs: The PRIME Project
In 2016, Konyang University was selected for the PRIME project. PRIME stands for "PRogram for Industrial needs-Matched Education." This project helps universities train students for jobs that are needed in the future. It helps more students study engineering fields.
This program provided a lot of money to the chosen schools. It ran for three years, starting in 2017. It helped Konyang University prepare students for important jobs.
CICS: A New Way to Learn
CICS stands for "College of Interdisciplinary & Creative Studies." It's a special college within Konyang University. It started in 2012 and welcomed its first students in 2013. CICS helps students learn many different subjects. The goal is to create well-rounded individuals who can meet the needs of modern companies.
Students in CICS study two main subjects and one minor. They also have four weeks of focused learning. This helps them get a broad education.
Helping Graduates Find Jobs
Konyang University has a great record of helping its students find jobs after they graduate. For four years in a row, it was ranked first among universities of its size in South Korea for job placement. This means a very high percentage of its graduates found jobs.
Even though the way job placement is measured has changed, Konyang University still helps many students get jobs. For example, in 2013, it was ranked third in the entire country among four-year universities.
