Korehi (Persian: کرهای) is a city in, and the former capital of, the Central District of Sarchehan County, Fars province, Iran. The capital has been transferred to the city of Hesami.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 3,158 in 807 households, when it was in the former Sarchehan District of Bavanat County. The following census in 2011 counted 3,912 people in 1,027 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 3,954 people in 1,259 households.
After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Sarchehan County, and Korehi was transferred to the new Central District as the county's capital. After formation of the county, its capital was transferred from Korehi to Hesami.
