Kristoffer Paul Peterson, born on November 28, 1994, is a professional football player from Sweden. He plays as a winger, which means he plays on the sides of the field. Currently, he plays for the Dutch club Fortuna Sittard.

Kristoffer Peterson's Club Career
Playing for Liverpool
Kristoffer Peterson joined the Liverpool Academy in January 2011. He came from a club called Sävedalens IF.
He first played for the Under 18s team in the 2010–11 season. He mostly played for the Under 16s that year. In the 2011–12 season, he played more often for the Under 18s. He usually played as a midfielder. He scored five goals in 22 games and played very well.
His good performance caught the eye of the Reserve team coach. Peterson then played as a substitute for the Under 19s in the NextGen Series. He also played in a match for third place in the NextGen Series.
In the 2012–13 season, Peterson played more as a forward on the wing. He was still a star player for the U18s, scoring nine goals in 23 games. He also moved up to the U21s team, playing 13 times. In the 2013–14 U21s season, Peterson scored all three of Liverpool's goals in their pre-season games. He scored against Glentoran F.C., Heart of Midlothian F.C., and Bologna F.C. 1909.
Loan to Tranmere Rovers
On November 28, 2013, which was his 19th birthday, Peterson joined Tranmere Rovers. This was a temporary move, called a loan. Tranmere Rovers was a team in League One.
Two days later, he played his first game for Tranmere Rovers. They won 2–1 against Colchester United. Peterson was named the Man of the Match. His manager, Ronnie Moore, believed he would become a top player.
Returning to Liverpool
In January 2014, Peterson signed a new contract with Liverpool. He said this was the biggest boost for his career. He felt very motivated by it.
He finished the U21s season at Liverpool with 6 goals and 15 games played. He also played as a substitute for the Liverpool first team. This was in a friendly game against Shamrock Rovers. Liverpool won 4–0, and Peterson wore the number 54 shirt.
On July 16, 2014, Peterson played as a substitute in another friendly game. This was against Brøndby. He scored a goal in the 49th minute. He scored again in Liverpool's next friendly match against Preston. His goal helped Liverpool win 2–1. After this, manager Brendan Rodgers decided to take Peterson on Liverpool's pre-season tour in America.
Playing for Utrecht
On August 27, 2014, Peterson moved to the Netherlands. He joined FC Utrecht, a club in the Eredivisie league. He signed a contract for four years.
Playing for Heracles Almelo
In January 2017, Peterson joined another Dutch club, Heracles Almelo. He signed a contract for two and a half years. He had an option to stay for another year.
Peterson played very well for Heracles Almelo. In September 2018, he was voted the Eredivisie Player of the Month. This was because of his impressive performances.
Playing for Swansea City
On August 2, 2019, Peterson signed with Swansea City. This club plays in the EFL Championship in England. He rejoined coach Steve Cooper, who he had worked with at Liverpool's academy.
He played his first game for Swansea as a substitute. They won 2–1 against Hull City. He scored his first goal for Swansea in an EFL Cup game. This was against Cambridge United on August 28, 2019.
Playing for Fortuna Düsseldorf
On October 5, 2020, Peterson joined Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany. He signed a three-year contract with the club.
Playing for Hapoel Be'er Sheva
On June 21, 2023, Peterson signed a three-year contract with Hapoel Be'er Sheva. This club plays in the Israeli Premier League.
Playing for Fortuna Sittard
On January 9, 2024, Peterson returned to the Netherlands. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Fortuna Sittard.
Kristoffer Peterson's International Career
On October 3, 2018, Kristoffer Peterson was called up to play for the Swedish senior national team. This was his first time being called up for the main team. He was chosen after playing very well for his club, Heracles.
He was called up for a UEFA Nations League game against Russia. He also joined for a friendly game against Slovakia. He made his first international appearance against Slovakia on October 16, 2018.
