Krysta Marie Svore (born 1979) is an American computer scientist. She is an expert in quantum computing. This is a new way for computers to solve very hard problems.

Krysta is a top leader at Microsoft. She is a Technical Fellow and Vice President. She helps develop advanced quantum technology for Microsoft Azure Quantum.

Before this, she led the Azure Quantum software team. This team helped bring the first quantum computers to the Microsoft Azure cloud. She also worked on machine learning. This is when computers learn from data.

Krysta's Education and Career

Krysta Svore grew up near Seattle, Washington. She studied math at Princeton University. There, she became very interested in quantum computing.

She learned about how quantum computers could break secret codes. This was a big idea for her future work.

In 2006, she earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University. Her special project was about making quantum computers reliable. She wanted them to work well and solve big problems.

Krysta joined Microsoft Research in 2006. At first, she worked on machine learning. But soon, she focused more on quantum computing.
