Where is Kula Kangri?
For a long time, people thought Kula Kangri was partly in Bhutan. Bhutan is a country near Tibet. But newer maps and studies show it is fully in Tibet. This means it is entirely within China.
Reaching the Top
The first people to successfully climb Kula Kangri were from Japan. In 1986, a team of Japanese climbers reached the very top. Their names were Itani, Sakamoto, Ozaki, and Ohtani. It was a big achievement for them to conquer such a high and challenging mountain.
