About Kurt Schuller
Kurt Schuller was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He went to Concordia University Wisconsin. There, he earned a degree in management and communications.
Before becoming a politician, Schuller had a long career in the restaurant business. He worked as a chef for 20 years. He was also the general manager of The Club Forest Restaurant. From 1996 to 2005, he owned and ran Wolfendale's Restaurant in Sussex. He also worked for Old Country Buffet.
In 2010, Kurt Schuller ran for the office of State Treasurer of Wisconsin. He won the election on November 2, 2010. He defeated the person who held the job before him, Dawn Marie Sass. When he ran, Schuller promised to serve only one term. He also wanted to work towards removing the office of State Treasurer completely.

Not Running for Re-election
In March 2014, Kurt Schuller announced he would not run for State Treasurer again. This meant he would not try to keep his job. Instead, he decided to run for a different position. He wanted to join the Fond du Lac County Board of Supervisors. This board helps manage the county.
