The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) is a special school in Kyiv, Ukraine. It teaches students about economics and how to manage businesses. KSE started in 1996. It was created by groups like the Economics Education and Research Consortium.
KSE helps students learn about the economy. This helps build a stronger future for Ukraine. Over 700 people have graduated from KSE. Many graduates have gone on to earn advanced degrees from top universities around the world.

What Students Learn at KSE
The classes at KSE are like those in North America and Western Europe. Students use English textbooks. They can also access many modern learning materials online. This includes scholarly articles and research papers.
Students who do very well in their economics classes can get a degree from the University of Houston in the USA. This is in addition to their KSE diploma. The best students can also get help with their tuition fees. They might even become a "teacher assistant" in their second year.
Special Centers at KSE
KSE also has two special centers:
- Centre for Excellence in Economic Journalism: This center helps people learn how to write about economic news.
- Centre of Excellence in Procurement: This center teaches about buying and selling goods and services.
How KSE is Managed
A group called the Board of Directors guides KSE. They make sure the school runs well. The board meets every year to talk about KSE's progress. There is also an International Academic Board. This group checks the quality of the school's programs.

Student Life at KSE
Students at KSE are very involved in school life. They meet with the school management every month. This helps them share ideas and make decisions.
Students have also created different clubs:
- Finance Club
- Case Club (where they solve business problems)
- Business Literature Club
These clubs invite successful people to share their experiences. They give students helpful advice for their future.
Student Competitions
KSE holds several fun competitions for students:
- Case Champ
- Chess Champ
- KSE BrainChamp (a knowledge competition)
In 2017, a student tournament called "What? Where? When?" also started.
Events and Public Lectures
The Kyiv School of Economics often hosts open lectures. Anyone interested can attend these events. Many important people have spoken at KSE. These include famous journalists, authors, and government officials.
For example, in 2018, KSE held two "Ukraine Economy Week" events. They worked with the National Bank of Ukraine and a company called ICU. KSE also publishes a yearly report called the "White Book on Reforms." This book talks about changes happening in Ukraine.
