Kyoko Yano (矢野 喬子, born June 3, 1984) is a Japanese former football player. She played as a defender for the Japan national team. She is well-known for helping Japan win the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup and a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Kyoko Yano was born in Yokohama, Japan. After finishing her studies at Kanagawa University, she joined the Urawa Reds football club in 2007.
Early Success at Urawa Reds
In her first year, the 2007 season, Kyoko Yano was recognized as the Best Young Player. This showed how talented she was right from the start.
Playing for Urawa Reds
She played for Urawa Reds for six seasons, until the end of 2012. During her time there, she played in 111 matches in Japan's top women's football league, the L.League. She was so good that she was chosen for the "Best Eleven" team every single season she played.
National Team Journey
Kyoko Yano's journey with the Japan national team began in June 2003. Even though she was still a student at Kanagawa University, she was picked to play in the 2003 AFC Women's Championship.
