Kyoko Yano (矢野 喬子, Yano Kyōko, born June 3, 1984) is a former Japanese football player. She played as a defender for the Japan national team.

Kyoko Yano's Football Journey
Kyoko Yano was born in Yokohama, Japan, on June 3, 1984. She grew up loving football. After finishing her studies at Kanagawa University, she joined a professional team called Urawa Reds in 2007.
Playing for Urawa Reds
In her first year, the 2007 season, Kyoko Yano was named the Best Young Player. She played for Urawa Reds for six seasons. She was a very important player for the team. She played 111 matches in the L.League, which is Japan's top women's football league. Every season she played, she was chosen for the Best Eleven team. This means she was one of the top 11 players in the league. She retired from playing at the end of the 2012 season.
Playing for Japan's National Team
Kyoko Yano also played for the Japan national team. She was first chosen for the team in June 2003, even while she was still a university student. Her first game was on June 11, 2003, at the 2003 AFC Women's Championship. In that game against Guam, she scored her first goal for Japan!
She played in many big tournaments for her country. She went to the World Cup three times: in 2003, 2007, and 2011. She also played in the Summer Olympics three times: in 2004, 2008, and 2012.
One of her biggest achievements was winning the championship at the 2011 World Cup with the Japan team. The team also won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Kyoko Yano played a total of 74 games for Japan and scored 1 goal before she retired in 2012.
