The famous Swedish singer Jill Johnson sang "Kärleken är". She is known for both pop and country songs. In 1998, Jill sang this song in Melodifestivalen 1998, which is a big music contest in Sweden. She won the contest!

Because she won Melodifestivalen, Jill Johnson got to sing "Kärleken är" for Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1998. This is a huge international music competition. The song finished in 10th place and earned 53 points. It was the last time Sweden sent a song to Eurovision that was sung entirely in Swedish.

The person who wrote the words for the song, Ingela Forsman, later shared a special secret. She said the song's words were inspired by the sad news of Diana, Princess of Wales passing away in 1997.
