Lévon Sayan (born on December 17, 1934) is a French-Armenian person who has done many things! He is known as an impresario, a producer, and an opera singer called a tenor. An impresario is someone who organizes concerts and shows for artists. A producer helps create music recordings.

About Lévon Sayan
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Lévon Sayan was born in Aix-en-Provence, France. His family came from Sivas and had faced difficult times before moving to France. They had hoped to move to the United States.
Sayan served in the French army in Indochina. In 1956, he moved to the US. There, he worked as the President of a special hairdressing association in New York.
Becoming an Opera Singer
Lévon Sayan started his career as a classical singer in 1966. He recorded his first music with Renée Doria, who was a famous singer. As a tenor, which is a type of male singing voice, he performed in many well-known operas.
Some of the operas he sang in include "Rigoletto", "Faust", and "Carmen". These are all very famous and exciting opera productions.
Working with Famous Artists
Besides singing, Sayan became a very important manager for other artists. He worked as an impresario for some of the biggest names in music and entertainment.
He managed the careers of Liza Minnelli, Plácido Domingo, and Mario del Monaco. From 1981 to 2014, he was also one of the managers for the legendary singer Charles Aznavour.
Charity Work and Awards
Lévon Sayan is an officer of the "Légion d'honneur". This is a very high award given by the French government.
He also helped start a charity called Aznavour for Armenia. He founded this organization with Charles Aznavour. Their goal was to help people in Armenia.
In 1989, Sayan visited Armenia for the first time. In 2008, both Aznavour and Sayan were given Armenian citizenship. This was a special honor from the President of Armenia.
Sayan has received several awards for his work and contributions. On May 23, 2003, the president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, gave him the Khorenatsi medal. In 2006, he received a "Special Prize" at the Armenian National Music Award. In 2009, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a special paper to give Lévon Sayan the Order of Honor.
