LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV) is a private school in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It used to be known as the Art Institute of Vancouver. This school teaches creative subjects like fashion, cooking, and game design.

The school you know as LaSalle College Vancouver used to be called The Art Institute of Vancouver. It became part of the LCI Education Network in 2017. The school's main building was updated to show its new name.

The Art Institute of Vancouver first opened in 1979. It was originally known as the Center for Digital Imaging and Sound (CDIS). The cooking school part, called The International Culinary School, started in 1982. It was first named Dubrulle International Culinary & Hotel Institute of Canada. Since 2010, all programs have been at the current Renfrew Campus.

The Art Institute of Vancouver, now LaSalle College Vancouver, teaches many subjects. These include Visual Effects, Animation, and Recording Arts. You can also learn about Baking & Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts. Other programs are Music Production, Event Management, and Digital Film & Video. They also offer Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Game Art & Design, and Game Programming. Since 2009, the school has offered a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.

Game Art & Design Program

The Game Art & Design program is very popular. In 2005, over 200 students were in this 18-month program. The school has also worked with big names in the game industry.

In 2006, The Art Institute of Vancouver teamed up with the International Game Developers Association. They also partnered with the video game company Electronic Arts (EA). Together, they hosted a festival called ARTmageddon for the game industry. Teachers and students from the school have been interviewed about game design.
