Where is La Paz?
This village is found on Route 52. It is about 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) south of Route 1. La Paz is also about 5 kilometers (3 miles) southwest of Colonia Valdense. It is 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) southwest of Nueva Helvecia.
A Look at La Paz's History
La Paz was started in 1858. It began as a Waldensian colony. The Waldensians were a Christian group who came to Uruguay seeking a new home. They built their community here.
