La Portella (pronounced la por-TEL-ya) is a small town, also known as a municipality, located in the Catalonia region of Spain. It is part of a larger area called the Segrià comarca, which is like a county or district. You can find La Portella on the right side of the Noguera Ribagorçana river. A local road connects this town to the nearby city of Lleida.
