La Victoria is a small community in Starr County, Texas, United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government counts for population, but it's not officially a city or town.
La Victoria has changed quite a bit over the years. Before the 2010 census, its boundaries were redrawn. It gained some land, but also had parts of its area used to create new CDPs nearby. Because of these changes, only a small part of the La Victoria you see today was part of the community in 2000.
In 2020, the population of La Victoria was 176 people. This is a big change from the year 2000, when 1,683 people lived there.

La Victoria was first counted as a census designated place in the year 2000. Before the 2020 census, several new communities were created from parts of La Victoria's original land. These new places include Alto Bonito Heights, El Castillo, El Socio, Eugenio Saenz, Olmito and Olmito, and Valle Vista. This is why the population numbers changed so much.
